Jo Davey is a Rail Operations Professional with an expertise in train planning, engineering & track access, passenger handling strategies, as well as project governance & delivery. She has a wide range of operational experience having worked across the UK rail sector leading teams in Train Operating Companies and most recently as a director within a national passenger operator. She has a wealth of experience in the operational planning of timetables and resource plans for new services, new timetables and new rail contracts. She is experienced in the wider running of a national TOC from her time as a director, working with a diverse range of internal & external stakeholders focussing on collaboration to deliver the best results for all parties with consideration for commercial and reputational elements.
She is a confident communicator and leader at multiple levels, equally at home in executive teams as working with frontline colleagues to deliver services on the day. Having worked in long distance, regional and suburban commuter TOCs, she has experience of many sectors of the passenger rail market. During her twenty years in the rail industry, she has worked consistently with Network Rail and other stakeholders to deliver strong outcomes and undertook a 9 month secondment to the Great British Rail Transition Team to share a view of a TOCs priorities and requirements on the road to traction decarbonisation, further broadening her experience in rail from a different perspective.
With a focus on rail industry development, timetable delivery and organisational change, Jo has delivered a range of projects including timetable enhancements, passenger handling propositions for major blockades, industry reform and organisational structural changes, and rail replacement service changes.
