Climate Commitments
We are passionate about minimising our environmental impact. We are focused on the green agenda and the societal benefit that public transport provides, both from a social mobility and a decarbonisation perspective. Our green credentials are demonstrated across all of our touchpoints as we strive for Net Zero.
We are proud of our already low impact of 5.9 (tCO2e) last year and are continually working to reduce this. We are aiming towards Carbon Net Zero by 2041 through our Carbon Reduction Plan.
Below are the key areas we are tackling our impact, for further details please see our Carbon Reduction Plan.
Towards Carbon Net Zero
Our Strategy
Our aim is to reduce our emissions by 5.9 (tCO2e) to become Carbon Net Zero by 2041.
We are eager to change
behaviour and implement best practice in action
areas; energy, waste, purchasing and travel. This will involve all our Partners committing to reduce their environmental impact in all parts of their life.
Targets to Net Zero
Every Partner in Winder Phillips Associates is actively committed to reducing their impact on the environment in line with our Carbon Reduction Plan.
We are continuously looking to integrate better environmental choices in our day-to-day lives alongside business requirements.
We monitor our targets and achievements regularly.
Our Journey
Our Partners have always considered their impact on the environment, one of the key decisions was not to have a central office so we have always worked from home.
We encourage the purchase of electricity from renewable suppliers where possible and we have already started replacing our cars with fully electric vehicles.
We are continually searching for ways to reduce our impact on our environment. This includes growing our own food and harvesting rainwater, reducing waste in our homes and constantly thinking reduce, reuse, recycle.
Our Actions
We will continue to encourage home working and meetings to be held virtually whenever this is practically possible.
Our travel will be by rail where possible supported by continuing to buy electric vehicles powered by renewable energy sources.
We have a continuous improvement strategy and environmental impact is a key consideration within it. We are committed to continuously innovate and improve our approach to protecting our environment.
