Matthew Lee

Matthew recently joined Winder Phillips as a Partner and brings 15 years of railway industry experience with him. Starting with FirstGroup's Management Graduate programme, he moved to their Great Western franchise where he worked in a number of senior customer & operational roles. Matthew then joined MTR Crossrail as their Head of Stations & Revenue Protection, latterly becoming their Deputy Director of Customer Experience where he played a key part in delivery of the staged opening plan.
In March 2020 Matthew re-joined FirstGroup where, as Commercial & Customer Experience Director, he was responsible for successfully mobilising the new open access operator Lumo, leading on customer & commercial propositions, as well as stakeholder engagement and brand. Matthew is also a graduate from the Institution of Railway Operators Degree programme and supports a number of mentees across the industry. Recently he was invited to be a judge for the National Rail Heritage Awards.
